There has now been an interesting twist in the managerial hunt for Crystal Palace.
Andoni Iraola is the main target for Steve Parish and talks are ongoing with the Spaniard, while the likes of Pierre Sage and Kieran McKenna have been mentioned as alternatives.
However, Simon Jordan tipped a different name to replace Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace when speaking on talkSPORT back in September – and that person is now free to hire after being sacked by Brondby.

Steve Cooper now available for Crystal Palace after 2023 interview
The Evening Standard believe Parish already interviewed Cooper in 2023 while attempting to replace Roy Hodgson, so the Welshman is known to those in the boardroom at Selhurst Park.
After Brondby hired Cooper back in September, Jordan theorised that the man born in Pontypridd could end up in south London, considering the Danish giants are owned by Crystal Palace co-owner David Blitzer.
The former Crystal Palace chairman said: “Could be a way to Palace, couldn’t it?
“There was an interest in Cooper at Palace two or three years ago. Glasner is not going to be at Palace in a year’s time (laughing) – as much as I may want him to be. He’s not gonna be at Palace. He’s got a year left. I’d be gobsmacked. I hope he is and I hope I’m wrong. But given the fact he’s barely been backed, given the fact it’s going to be very difficult for him to replicate what he achieved last year, it is a distinct possibility he’s going to be on his way from Palace.
“Given the fact that Cooper was liked by Palace, it wouldn’t be beyond the wit of man to put him into Brondby, get Brondby going for a year and then move him out of Brondby into Palace, because Blitzer is the intellectual capital behind both.”
Danny Murphy replied: “It’s a good point.”
Brondby have just decided to sack Cooper having been beaten by Copenhagen in the Superliga’s European play-off, meaning the Danish giants will have no European football at all next season.

That doesn’t exactly make the 46-year-old the most attractive option for Crystal Palace, but considering Jordan was right about Glasner leaving, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Parish at least adds him to the shortlist.
