Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is attracting a lot of interest but there is positive news on the player ahead of the January transfer window.
The latest news comes from TEAMtalk.
So, what’s the latest on Marc Guehi’s future at Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Crystal Palace have some top talents, and one of them no doubt is Guehi. The centre-back is a class above and has already captained the club despite only being 23.
There has been reports suggesting Guehi has interest from Tottenham, who are tempted to make a January move.
Now, it looks like Palace fans do not have to worry about Guehi leaving in January. TEAMtalk reports that the defender is keen to remain at Selhurst Park for the rest of the season.
Apparently, the Eagles plan to delay any decision on selling Guehi until Euro 2024 is finished next summer. This, combined with the fact that the report also suggests that he wants to stay past January is great news.

Marc Guehi does not want to leave Crystal Palace in January
The Eagles are on a very poor run and hopefully they can turn things around sooner rather than later. Despite this, Guehi can no doubt keep his head high as he has remained consistently all season.
It is no shock to see the player, who is also now a consistent England international, start to pick up interest from bigger clubs.
He is a “fantastic” player who has a very high ceiling. With the poor form that the Eagles are on, they will not want any of their top talents to leave during the middle of the season.
Of course, Palace would have tried to prevent any sales during the winter transfer window; however, it would have been a lot harder to do this if Guehi wanted to leave.

Palace have had a fair few injuries this season and Roy Hodgson has not had many games with a fully fit squad.
Hopefully, instead of losing players in January, the Eagles make a couple of signings to improve the squad depth at the club.
