Crystal Palace completed the signing of Dean Henderson back in the summer of 2023 and the Englishman has had periods both in and out of Oliver Glasner’s first team.

Henderson was brought into the first-team squad under Roy Hodgson, but has since cemented himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the South London club in the Premier League under Glasner.

When and where was Dean Henderson born?

Dean Henderson was born in Whitehaven, Cumbria in England. The English goalkeeper was born on the 12th of March 1997.

Dean Henderson is 1.88 metres tall, which is the equivalent of six foot two inches tall. Being tall is vital for Henderson with the Englishman lining up as a goalkeeper and height is certainly important for this role.

What Dean Henderson has said about joining Crystal Palace

Speaking to the Crystal Palace website when he signed for the club, Henderson certainly sounded excited about the move.

“I’m absolutely delighted and buzzing to be here. I can’t wait to get started,” Henderson said. “This club has got great fans and has a lot of top players who are hungry to succeed. There’s something being built here, and I really want to be a part of it.”

What we do know is the pair got married on the 18th of June 2022, with Henderson posting it on his Instagram, before his move to Nottingham Forest went through and Lewis Capaldi was present to sing on their special day.

Believe it or not, this is a question that has surfaced on the internet but there is no relation between the Palace shot-stopper and the former Liverpool midfielder, who is now at Ajax.

Prior to his breakthrough at United, Henderson went out on loan to Sheffield United and certainly impressed for The Blades.

Speaking to Yorkshire Live, Sander Berge was full of praise for Henderson, the Norwegian midfielder said: “He’s insane. I’ve never been with such a good goalkeeper. One thing in matches, he is almost a defence alone at times, and you feel so secure with him.”
