Many Crystal Palace fans are aware that construction work is ongoing around Selhurst Park as the redevelopment of the Main Stand finally begins, but some changes have been made inside the stadium over the summer too.

It has been well-documented that Crystal Palace have now knocked down the six houses on Wooderson Close and started to level the ground in that area.

However, new drone footage released by CC OVERVIEW on YouTube shows three notable changes that have been made to the inside of Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace revamp Whitehorse Lane end

It remains to be seen what else Crystal Palace do to Selhurst Park over the summer, but one change has already been made to the seats in the Whitehorse Lane end.

As you can see at the 5:30 mark in the video above, the red and blue seats in this end are now glowing after Crystal Palace freshened them up.

It is unclear whether brand new seats have been installed, or if the Eagles simply restored them using a heat gun.

Fans will also notice a clear difference to the steps in that end too, which were previously yellow but now have a fresh white colouring.

Just seconds later in the aforementioned video, supporters will notice that safe-standing rails have been added to the away end too.

Work is also being done inside the main reception attached to the Main Stand, as the drone footage shows workers throwing materials out of the window into a large skip.

With so much construction and building work taking place, it has already been confirmed that Selhurst Park will not be hosting a friendly this summer.

There is, however, less time to wait for our first fixture under Pierre Sage at Selhurst Park, after the clash against Manchester City was moved from Saturday 29th August to Friday 28th August – the same date as the UEFA Europa League draw.

Where do you think we can finish in the UEFA Europa League next season after victory in Leipzig? 🤔

If Nottingham Forest can reach the last four while in a relegation battle, surely we can at least make the final? 👀
