Oliver Glasner has been discussing the status of his team ahead of Saturday’s fixture against Manchester United.
With no wins in four games, Crystal Palace need all the help on the pitch possible – especially coming up against an in-form Manchester United team.
In picking his team, Oliver Glasner will have a strong group to choose from but three names will be absent with Cheick Doucoure facing a serious setback, after missing most of the 2023/24 season through injury.
Now, speaking in his pre-United press conference, Glasner has shed light on this blow and the fitness status of others in his squad.

Glasner has now provided several updates on his squad with Doucoure’s injury being the big blow in the news.
Glasner explained to the media that Doucoure will be out for “several weeks”, this is a huge blow after Doucoure was out from November 2023, only returning for preseason.
To miss so much time at the age of just 24 could prove detrimental to his development and the Eagles may have a decision to make at this rate.
Doucoure is not the only player out though as Glasner confirmed that both Trevoh Chalobah and Matheus Franca remain out injured.
“He’s progressing but he’s not available tomorrow. We expect him to be back for next week”, Glasner explained about Chalobah who is yet to make his debut.
On Franca, it was a similar story: “The same for Franca. It went quicker than expected.”
Despite these absences, Glasner did have good news over one name with Adam Wharton confirmed to be fit and available here – ready for another clash with Kobbie Mainoo.
Crystal Palace can still name strong starting line-up
So despite there being a handful of names out of contention, for the most part, Crystal Palace can still name a very strong starting line-up.
In goal Dean Henderson will have a strong backline ahead of him as Marc Guehi, Maxence Lacroix and Chris Richards probably start the game.
Daniel Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell in either wing-back slot as usual are the strongest options Crystal Palace have.
In midfield, Wharton will likely partner Will Hughes with Eberechi Eze and hopefully Ismaila Sarr ahead of them.
Up front here, we do hope Eddie Nketiah gets to start with Jean-Philippe Mateta dropping to the bench – with Nketiah’s movement and running likely to cause United issues.
