Oliver Glasner has reacted to the goal 18-year-old talent Asher Agbinone scored for Crystal Palace against Wolves.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, Crystal Palace continued pre-season with a win which saw Wolves beaten 3-1 in the United States.
The Eagles made light work of their opposition, with three brilliant goals being scored.
Jeffrey Schlupp scored first from a long way out after the Wolves keeper made a poor attempted clearance only for Schlupp to return to sender.
The lead was doubled by Jordan Ayew after Dean Henderson made the assist with a wonderful pass. The scoring on Palace’s side was then concluded by 18-year-old gem Asher Agbinone.
Now, Oliver Glasner has shared his reaction, here’s what he said.

After the win against Wolves, Glasner discussed his thoughts about the game, and in doing so gave praise to the 18-year-old goalscorer.
Speaking with club media, the manager talked through all three Palace goals but had a particular smile on his face when discussing the goal Agbinone scored.
“I really enjoyed Asher: 18 years [old], he’s been with us for three days. He did a great finish, so it was a very nice goal.
“They’re all good guys, good talents, otherwise they wouldn’t be here with us,” the Austrian concluded.
Glasner is clearly delighted at the immediate impact that Agbinone almost immediately had upon entering the senior team, but he also praised the two more senior goalscorers.
“Jeffrey Schlupp, what a finish”, he explained before adding, “then the second goal, the strike from Dean and then how Jordan takes the ball… technical ability is amazing.”
Does Asher Agbinone have what it takes to play a role this season?
While his goal was impressive, Agbinone faces an uphill battle to get first-team minutes this season under Glasner.
This primarily is due to the fact the forward positions at Selhurst Park are very competitive to get into and Agbinone will be at the very back of a long queue which sees Jesurun Rak-Sakyi a potential casualty.
Due to this, it’s tough to imagine Agbinone getting minutes based on one goal, which is all we’ve really seen of him so far.
That being said, he has put his name in the mix now, so if an injury situation arises, Glasner will know who he can call upon.
