Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi looks like he could be set for a spell on the sidelines due to injury.
That is according to the Evening Standard.
So, what’s the latest injury update on Jesurun Rak-Sakyi? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Crystal Palace beat Burnley 2-0 on the weekend in the Premier League and it was a huge result for the Eagles.
Sadly, Rak-Sakyi was not in the squad for the match, with manager Roy Hodgson revealing that he had suffered an injury.
Now, the Evening Standard has provided an injury update on the academy prospect. Rak-Sakyi apparently has a hamstring injury the club do not know how bad it is currently.
The report goes on to say that he now needs to go for a scan to determine how severe the injury actually is.

Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi set for scans following hamstring injury
The 21-year-old had a fantastic season on loan at Charlton in 2022/23, providing goals and assists for the League One club.
Many thought a loan this season would have been good for him. In the end he stayed and is now struggling for minutes under Roy Hodgson, something which was feared.
To make matters worse, the winger has now suffered an injury which looks like one which could see him sidelined for a long period.
He is at the age where he needs to be playing consistently in order to reach the potential he looks to have. Sadly, the lack of signings in the summer from Palace saw his growth paused.

Hopefully the scans show that the hamstring injury isn’t as bad as it is feared. It would definitely be a worry if he’s out past January as that transfer window is the chance for the ‘exciting‘ winger to get a possible loan move and pursue half a season of consistent football.
Lots of Palace players have had injuries this season, especially hamstring ones, and this definitely needs to be looked at by the coaching staff to prevent even more issues further down the line.
