Michael Olise picked up a devastating injury which could be a huge blow to Crystal Palace’s survival hopes.
In a troubling 4-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Brighton, Crystal Palace’s day was made worse by the injuries which were pilled on top of Eberechi Eze who was already out.
Marc Guehi was the first blow, as he had to leave the field in the 28th minute of play through injury.
The big one then happened in the second half as just 11 minutes after his introduction, Michael Olise was subbed off through injury.
Now, after taking much of the blame for the injury, Roy Hodgson has opened up on the injury to his star man.

Roy Hodgson breaks silence on Michael Olise injury
Speaking to the press ahead of Monday’s game against Chelsea, Hodgson broke his silence on Olise’s injury. In this, he also confirmed that both Guehi and Eze will also be out now.
“We have lost all three of them – it’s a massive blow,” Hodgson confirmed on the trio who are now missing for the next couple of weeks.
Specifically on Olise, Hodgson added that he’d picked up an injury, failing to mention the role he played in that blow.
“Michael has picked up another serious injury, which is absolutely devastating for him.”
Monday could be D-Day for Hodgson – Our View
On Monday against Chelsea will be Hodgson’s 200th game at the helm of Crystal Palace but ahead of this milestone, he looks closer than ever to departing.
The 76-year-old is without arguably his three most influential players which makes the prospect of a confident Chelsea side fresh off beating Aston Villa a worrying one.
Another bad defeat here and it’s hard to see how the club could possibly not address Hodgson’s position as it becomes more untenable by the game with the fanbase firmly against him now.
Whatever happens, it’s sad that the situation has come to this, Hodgson should’ve been removed long before it got to this level.
