Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Everton last night in a game which was difficult to watch, however, a concerning stat has come from it.
On Thursday night it felt as though that game could’ve been double in length and still nobody was going to score. Neither Crystal Palace nor Everton managed a clear-cut chance.
The 0-0 draw was probably a fair result at Selhurst Park however it wasn’t a good one given it means the two clubs must now play a replay later this month.
The game’s most notable moment came when Dominic Calvert-Lewin was sent off in rather controversial circumstances.
It was a bad decision, so bad that the Palace players looked shocked by it, with Joachim Andersen telling Calvert-Lewin that he didn’t think it was a red.
After the game though a statistic was shared which created yet another concern for Palace and Roy Hodgson.

Crystal Palace issued yet another concerning statistic
Amid a run of 1 win in 10 games, the mood around Selhurst Park is poor to say the least. But now yet another concern has been raised and it’s one which will be deeply concerning.
This season – according to Matchday CPFC – Palace have now scored zero goals from 98 corners this season.
For a team who have a bunch of physical players, this is an atrocious figure which will concern the boss.
Teams battling around midtable traditionally need to take advantage of set pieces to score and get points and given Palace have a few real physical threats, it’s concerning no goals have come from them.
The set-piece takers are good too, with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze both sublime at putting a ball in. This just raises the question of if Palace even practice these routines in training.
It’s all going wrong for Palace right now
As the club continue to sink further and further and Hodgson remains in a job, you just get the feeling that absolutely everything is going wrong for Palace right now.
From injuries such as Olise to results to this stat now further emphasising something has to change.
As unlikely as it seems right now – Hodgson leaving is probably the only thing to save this season.
