Jordan Ayew has been named Crystal Palace player of the month for February, now he’s shared his thoughts on one particular moment.
After a month in which Jordan Ayew stepped up to replace the absences of both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, he’s rightfully been handed the Player of the Month award for Crystal Palace.
He scored twice and assisted once in the two games following Roy Hodgson‘s exit and has become a really vital piece of Oliver Glasner‘s team early on.
Of Ayew winning this award, Glasner said to club media: “He’s a great player and a very important player for us. He has a lot of experience, a lot of quality, and he deserves it.”
In the same interview, Ayew also spoke in particular about one of his goals last month.

After being handed his Player of the Month award, Ayew engaged in a short interview with club media, in which he was quizzed over his celebration, or lack of, following his goal against Burnley.
“No, because, to be honest, I was knackered so it was hard for me to celebrate. But obviously, I did celebrate with my teammates and that was the most important thing.
“The most important thing is to get the three points, and you know it was a must-win game and we did it.”
Ayew had a great month and in this current form, this won’t be the last goal he gets the chance to celebrate this season.

In the same video, Palace players were asked to describe Ayew with one word.
To start with David Ozoh called Ayew, “Uncle” which is a term of endearment which Eze could only agree with, adding: “Uncle’s good”.
Jean-Philippe Mateta however had the highest praise, labelling his teammate an “Unbelievable player”, before adding that he “never gives up” and that he’s a “good guy”.
