Crystal Palace already have a fan present at boardroom level in Steve Parish.

The man from Forest Hill was part of the CPFC2010 consortium who bought Crystal Palace out of administration back in 2010 – effectively saving the Eagles from being dissolved, before overseeing a golden period in the club’s history with more than a decade of Premier League football at Selhurst Park.

Of course, fans yearn for European football after such a long time back in the Premier League, but considering we were known as a yo-yo club beforehand, one who would often spend just a sole season in the top-flight before relegation struck, it is quite an achievement to have stayed up for so long.

Now – according to talkSPORT – Crystal Palace could soon have two more fans in the boardroom alongside Steve Parish in Zechariah Janjua and Navshir Jaffer.

Zechariah Janjua and Navshir Jaffer make bid to buy out John Textor

It is now understood that boyhood Crystal Palace supporters Zechariah Janjua and Navshir Jaffer have made an offer to buy John Textor out of Selhurst Park.

The duo are believed to have made their bid through investment group Sportsbank – with the American valuing his stake in Crystal Palace at £230m.

Textor missed out on Everton to Dan Friedkin as he attempted to purchase another club in England to add to his Eagle Football Group umbrella, which also includes RWD Molenbeek, Botafogo and Lyon.

However, talkSPORT add that the man from Missouri is now keen to buy Watford, with Gino Pozzo open to selling the Hornets for a sum in the region of £150m – £175m.

Therefore, Textor would easily be able to afford Watford – and have some spare change – should his £230m sale of Crystal Palace go through.

The Times have also added some details regarding this situation.

It is said that Textor would actually prefer to sell his 45% stake to Janjua and Jaffer, with the British businessmen being advised by Keith Harris – the football financier who played a part in takeovers at Aston Villa, West Ham and Manchester City.

However, The Times add that there is serious interest from one unnamed American group, so the pair of Crystal Palace fans do not have a free run at this £230m deal by any means.
