Crystal Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma continued his good form with a dominant display for Colombia over the international break.
His country beat Paraguay 1-0.
So, how did Crystal Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma perform? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
The Colombian international was one of four summer signings that Palace made at the start of the season. He has definitely been the best transfer so far this season.
To sign Lerma on a free transfer was brilliant business and he has made a huge impact on the team. He was no doubt one of the standout performers in Palace’s last match before the international break.
It looks like he is also a key player for his country. Lerma put in a great performance in their World Cup qualifying win.
Lerma picked up a 7.5 rating, which was the third-best on the pitch, via SofaScore. He managed 74 touches and completed 44 passes, with one being a key pass. The midfielder also won three ground duels, four aerial duels and made three clearances as well as two tackles.

Crystal Palace star Jefferson Lerma shines on international duty
There is no doubting that Lerma is “extremely talented“; however, no Palace fan would have expected him to be as good as he has been so far this season.
With the performances we have seen from him this campaign, it is no shock to see that he is also shining for his country Colombia.
It is great to see his form continue and hopefully he can have a huge part to play in the match on the weekend against Luton Town.
Lerma was a brilliant bit of business and Sporting Director Dougie Freedman has managed to sign another top talent.

Hopefully we can see the club bolster the squad further in the January transfer window. We have some top players but need more depth if we want to be challenging top half.
There have been some good results and some bad ones this season and Roy Hodgson needs the win against Luton to turn things around.
