Steve Parish already knows what he wants to do next at Crystal Palace after securing a new contract for Ebere Eze.

Well, it is said that the Crystal Palace No.10 is now set to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park after a breakthrough in negotiations with the England international.
TEAMtalk add that Eze will more than treble his current wages to around £100,000-a-week and a release clause will be included in the deal.
Once the ink is dry on the 25-year-old’s new contract, it is believed that Parish will focus on getting Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen to also commit themselves to the Eagles.
Both Andersen and Guehi see their current contracts expire in June 2026, having signed five-year deals when arriving from Lyon and Chelsea respectively in 2021.
While that would suggest time is not of the essence for Parish, it feels as if any discussions over a new contract are designed to reward the pair of central defenders, and ensure their heads are not turned amid intense transfer speculation.
For example – according to The Sun – Mikel Arteta has already made Guehi a key part of his plans at Arsenal, and is planning to make a move for the England international in 2024 with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United also keen.
Forget Eze & Guehi: Crystal Palace may struggle to keep Andersen
Contract talks are never easy, and we can’t see things going smoothly with Andersen based on recent comments from the Dane.
The Crystal Palace No.16 did not exactly express a desperate urge to leave Crystal Palace, but he did admit to Danish news outlet Bold that he would like to take a step up.
Andersen said: “It is clear that this summer I will be 28 years old. It is limited how much money clubs will spend on a 28-year-old, or, if it is for next year, a 29-year-old, so it will have to be soon if something is to happen. Of course I would like to take a step up, but it is not up to me.”
With Crystal Palace lacking a bit of ambition under Parish, Josh Harris, David Blitzer and John Textor, nobody would begrudge the Denmark international for resisting a new deal and seeking a return to UEFA Champions League football, as he experienced at Lyon.
