Crystal Palace have some talented youngsters coming through the academy, and fans have already caught a glimpse of one rising starlet.

Oliver Glasner’s side started the 2024-25 season poorly, but one positive of their defeat to Nottingham Forest in October was that youngster Asher Agbinone made his senior debut.

Crystal Palace fans were impressed as Agbinone came on in the final few minutes of their 1-0 defeat, with some calling for him to be given more opportunities.

Asher Chris Ofega Agbinone is a Crystal Palace youngster who has spent his entire career at Selhurst Park, having joined at the age of nine.

Agbinone was born on September 28th, 2005, making him 19-years-old at the time of writing.

What position does Asher Agbinone play in?

Agbinone is typically a left winger, although he has featured on the right at youth level as well, as well as sporadically playing as a centre-forward.

What Nationality is Asher Agbinone?

Agbinone is an English citizen, but also holds Nigerian heritage.

Asher Agbinone’s Crystal Palace story so far

Agbinone has progressed through the academy ranks at Crystal Palace, and impressed with 16 goals in 36 games at under-18 level.

The winger is highly rated within the academy, and has made the first-team squad under Glasner on several occasions.

Agbinone made his Crystal Palace debut in the final minutes of their defeat to Nottingham Forest, and he expressed his delight after the game.

“I’m feeling good,” Agbinone told Palace club media after his debut..

“Obviously, the result didn’t go as we wanted to, so that kind of overshadows it, but I’m still grateful.”

Palace fans may expect to see the youngster again soon, given that he impressed with his direct running and energy in his few minutes on the pitch, and he is certainly a talent to watch for the future.
