Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is experiencing a mixed time on loan at Sheffield United from Crystal Palace.
The England U20 international failed to score or assist in his first seven Championship appearances this season, before his 2024/25 campaign took off with two goals in a recent 2-0 win over Luton Town.
Chris Wilder then strangely dropped the Crystal Palace wonderkid for Sheffield United’s next outing, a 2-0 defeat against Leeds United, although the 22-year-old bounced back to notch an assist in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Stoke City to put the Blades fourth in the Championship.

Funnily enough, Leeds United actually lost out to Sheffield United in the race to sign the winger on loan last summer.
Now, however, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi might feel a bit annoyed by what Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman are planning to do.

A story from Alan Nixon now states that Crystal Palace have decided to step up interest in Millwall No.25 Romain Esse – with a January move possible.
The 19-year-old looks to be a top, top talent, twisting defenders in knots so far this season as he causes chaos cutting inside from the right flank onto his stronger left foot.
Crucially, that is similar to how Rak-Sakyi operates in the same position, so the Crystal Palace academy graduate may now be wondering where he’ll fit in back at Selhurst Park if Esse is signed in January.
Should an agreement between Millwall and Crystal Palace materialise, there is every chance of the teenager shining under Oliver Glasner in the second half of the season, consequently leapfrogging Rak-Sakyi in the pecking order regardless of how well he performs at Sheffield United.
Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman could hand Rak-Sakyi a chance if Esse pursuit fails
If Parish and Freedman struggle to sign Esse in January, Rak-Sakyi could simply return to SE25 instead of the Millwall prodigy arriving.
Crystal Palace have the option to recall Rak-Sakyi in January, which we feel could be a possibility if Wilder unnecessarily drops him from the starting XI once again, or if Glasner loses a forward to injury across the coming weeks.
Ideally, Freedman manages to sign Esse and Glasner finds a way to get both Londoners involved at Crystal Palace, as they appear to be forwards of genuine star potential.
