Steve Parish has missed out on a few talented players in his time as Crystal Palace owner. Now one player is making the Eagles rue this decision.
As Crystal Palace’s early season struggles continue, Dougie Freedman will be watching on with envy at one player who has been immense for Bournemouth.
The weekend past was yet another horrible outing for the Eagles, losing to Everton who were at one stage below Crystal Palace in the league table.

This now has Oliver Glasner sitting in the relegation zone in 18th – on just three points and winless after six games.
These struggles will make it all the more painful that the Eagles missed out on one player who is in excellent form for Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace missed out on Antoine Semenyo
So far this season, Crystal Palace have scored just five league goals – a tally which means the Eagles have a negative four-goal differential.
Having lost the impact of Michael Olise, the club has failed to replace the attacking output he brings – this has therefore resulted in a pretty unimaginative forward group.
So after six games worth of terrible performances from the Eagles’ frontline, it will be frustrating to see that Bournemouth have one forward who is in some red-hot form.
Antoine Semenyo has been quite impressive for the Cherries this season and he could have been doing it for Crystal Palace – with Sky Sports previously reporting that Semenyo had actually had an eight-week trial with Crystal Palace as a youngster.
The Eagles may have had Semenyo on trial – but he ultimately was subject of a bigger bid from Bournemouth which saw him head to the south coast.
How Bournemouth No.24 has fared this season
While Semenyo has far from been a league leader like Olise this season, he has made the players at Glasner’s disposal right now look a million miles off it.
Three goals and one assist is more than any Crystal Palace player has managed – almost the same as the entire squad combined.
Semenyo appears to be a constant threat for the Cherries as he has eight successful dribbles completed this season – ranking him in the 74th percentile – while he has made 34 touches in the opponent’s box which places him in the 88th percentile.
Off the ball, Semenyo is also a massive plus for Bournemouth, winning 30 duels while also making 11 blocks, making 32 recoveries and winning possession eight times.
Having this kind of presence on the right wing would be a massive plus for the Eagles as it is a position which has been lacking ever since Olise left.
