Interest in Michael Olise just continues to grow despite his current injury status and now Manchester City have been told to enter the race.
Michael Olise is probably the most in-demand player in the Premier League right now and for good reason.
His performances for Crystal Palace have been revolutionary and they’re made more impressive as he produces such magic under Roy Hodgson‘s management.
Currently out injured, it’s now thought he’ll miss the rest of January which is a huge blow considering how dominant he was during the festive period last month as he scored four and assisted five in just four games.
The winger earns £100k-a-week and is worth every penny – he’s probably a bargain. However, Palace shouldn’t get too attached, given the substantial interest which should lead to a bidding war in the summer.
Manchester United have been credited with having a ‘definite interest’ in the winger despite the fact they could struggle to sign him and now their City rivals have been urged to get involved.

Stuart Pearce urges Man City to make a move for Michael Olise
Speaking on talkSPORT, Stuart Pearce dismissed the view that Olise should sign for United, instead claiming he’d be perfect for City.
“I’ve watched him a couple of times recently and the answer is yes,” Pearce explained.
“Not Man United… Man City. I looked at the way he played against Chelsea especially, he got beaten on the night but he was by far the best player on the pitch in my opinion.
“The way he dealt with the ball, his understanding of when to keep the ball, all of those types of things. I could see him in a City shirt.”
Bad news for Palace
It’s not great for Palace, that their star player is now being discussed daily as a dream signing for other clubs. Clubs like City won’t mess around and if they come calling, it’s a move – unlike Chelsea – that would be hard to refuse Olise.
That being said, if he’s going to be sold it is probably better that there are several interested teams – Arsenal are also keen – as it’ll only be better financially for the Eagles.
Olise would be phenomenal for City, and it’s a scary thought that he could be creating chances for Erling Haaland next season. The rest of the league is in trouble.
