Crystal Palace will be reluctantly aware of the fact Michael Olise is attracting substantial interest from some of England’s elite.
Michael Olise was always going to be one of the most sought-after players in the league in 2024 given how incredible he’s actually been.
The right-wing maestro has been unstoppable for Roy Hodgson and is probably the reason that the 76-year-old is still in a job now – with four goals and one assist in four games over the festive period.
Chelsea tried to take him last summer but Crystal Palace secured a new contract instead but after a year of struggling for fitness due to what many perceive to be Hodgson’s fault, things could change and he could be willing to go.
The price is already set, he’ll cost £60m for whoever wants to sign him according to reports as his £35m release clause is no more.
Now, a journalist has claimed that one Premier League giant has a ‘definite interest’ in Olise.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, journalist Alex Crook has claimed that the £100k-a-week man Olise is a player United would love to sign. He’d represent the change in club culture under the new Ineos ownership.
He wrote: “I think the Olise link is really interesting. There’s definite interest there. He’s a young player but proven in the Premier League, and that’s a different type of player to what Man Utd have gone for in previous windows.”
This will be a worrying verdict for Palace supporters given with new owners, United could definitely match Olise’s release fee and with new ambitions, he could even be tempted to join the Old Trafford side.
This follows a report last week which claimed that United were keen on signing Olise with a summer move more likely than winter.
Palace already have Olise’s replacement shortlisted
It’s not all doom and gloom though, with the sale of Olise potentially opening the door for another talented player to come in.
Argentine Matias Soule is tipped as a target for Palace, although he’s on loan until the summer which could be when a move is made.
A bid of £30m was rumoured last month which could be enough to tempt Juventus into accepting come July.
