Reports are circulating with quotes which claim Crystal Palace No.7 Ismaila Sarr once said he dreams of a move to Manchester United.
The Senegal international is alleged to have shared that information with Record in July 2018 after signing for Rennes, although considering no outlet can find the original source – including We are Palace – it remains a mystery as to whether Sarr actually said this.
Amid the confusion, there is one Crystal Palace player who definitely named Manchester United as a “dream” club as recently as November 2025 in Daniel Munoz.
What are YOUR thoughts on the new home kit? 🤔
I would prefer the sash not to have white gaps, but still quite happy with it 😍
What Daniel Munoz said about Manchester United amid Ismaila Sarr mystery
When asked about links to Barcelona at the time, the Crystal Palace No.2 told AS Colombia: “First of all, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. If you ask me, it would be a dream come true to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.
“I think I’m working towards that. I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because it’s a dream of mine to get there.”
As tremendous a servant Munoz has been for Crystal Palace since his £6.9m move from Genk in January 2024, the Eagles could cope with losing the Colombia international far more easily than they could if Sarr left.

The South American missed 14 games due to injuries last season and seemingly struggled to rediscover his trademark intensity after returning from a knee problem in January, which caused him to miss eight consecutive Premier League games.
We absolutely adore Munoz, but should one of the aforementioned European giants arrive with a bid of £30m or more this summer, it must be considered.
Who is your DREAM signing? ⭐️
The 30-year-old will only have 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of next season, and judging by his comments to AS Colombia, it might be difficult to get him to sign an extension.
