Daniel Munoz is now refusing to train with Genk as the defender attempts to force a move to Crystal Palace this month.
That is according to Bob Faesen of HLN Sport.

Daniel Munoz refusing to train
Well, the Colombia international is clearly very keen on a move to Selhurst Park.
Earlier this week, a story from the Guardian claimed that Crystal Palace had made a bid for Munoz, although it was below Genk’s £8.6m asking price – nevertheless, it was also said that talks will continue.
Now – according to Faesen – the South American has taken it upon himself to force through a move to south London.
The HLN Sport journalist wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Daniel Munoz refuses to train with Genk.
“Colombian has indicated that he wants to go to Crystal Palace. The English may have increased their bid slightly, but the proposal remains below expectations.”
It reinforces a previous story from Alan Nixon – who also claimed that Munoz is hoping to join the Eagles this month.
The 27-year-old has been in superb form so far this season, particularly in an attacking sense.
Munoz, who operates as a right-back, has scored seven goals while also providing two assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
Crystal Palace have to finalise this deal
Munoz has now – most likely – burned his bridges with Genk after this dramatic decision, so Crystal Palace owe it to the Colombian to meet the Belgian side’s asking price and get a deal done.
If we continue to lowball what is already a fairly reasonable asking price, and talks collapse, it would leave Munoz in a real predicament at the Jupiler Pro League side.
The Genk No.23 is clearly determined to become a Crystal Palace player, so hopefully, an agreement can be struck soon, especially as Roy Hodgson desperately needs a new face in the right-back department.
