Crystal Palace are now set to make a bid for Blackburn No.23 Adam Wharton – having already submitted an offer to sign Daniel Munoz from Genk.
That is according to Alan Nixon.

Crystal Palace set to bid for Adam Wharton
Well, the transfer window is starting to heat up for Crystal Palace after a very quiet January so far.
The Guardian claimed on Tuesday that a bid had been made to sign Munoz – and while that offer fell short of Genk’s £8.6m valuation, the Colombia international has since gone on strike to force through the move.
Now – according to Nixon – Crystal Palace are about to bid for Wharton as well.
The reliable journalist claims that Dougie Freedman has tracked the 19-year-old since he made his debut for Blackburn roughly 18 months ago now, and hopes to agree a fee with Rovers quickly.
Nixon claims that Crystal Palace will submit the biggest offer Blackburn have received for Wharton so far, with the sum expected to be in the region of £15m.
The teenager recently signed a new contract at Ewood Park, although Nixon adds that Venkys have been trying to balance the books at Blackburn, so a sale could happen this month.
Wharton has made 26 appearances in the Championship so far this season, scoring two goals while also providing three assists.

In our view, Wharton will be a fantastic addition at Selhurst Park if Freedman can get a deal over the line.
The England U20 international has been compared to Jack Wilshere – to give an understanding of the type of player he is – and is exactly the profile of footballer who tends to thrive at Crystal Palace, following the success of Championship prodigies turned Premier League stars such as Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.
In our view – however – it would be a shame to see David Ozoh’s game time dry up even more as a result of the move, so hopefully, Freedman can negotiate a deal to send the 18-year-old on loan to Blackburn as part of the package.
