Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is now set to sign his new contract at the club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 25-year-old attracted interest from a number of sides including Tottenham Hotspur over the summer following his fine performances last season, and with less than two years left to run on his current deal, speculation over his future was intensifying.
However, he is now set to put pen to paper over a contract extension which will see him earn a payrise, and his deal will run until 2027, meaning that for now, Palace can relax about potentially losing one of their best players.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Eberechi Eze deal
Romano has now confirmed that Eze is now ready to sign his contract, after an agreement was recently reached between the player and the club.
“Eberechi Eze, set to sign new Crystal Palace deal soon as agreement was reached almost 10 days ago. It’s all in place now,” he tweeted.
“Salary will be increased. Huge move for CPFC plans.
“Manchester City wanted Eze last August — told they keep following him for future.”

Although his future for the next few years looks set to be at Selhurst Park, it seems that Man City will still be keeping a keen eye on Eze.
For now, Palace can enjoy his creativity, with the attacking midfielder recently returning from injury to provide a nice assist for Tyrick Mitchell’s goal in Saturday’s win at Burnley.
Eze has scored once and provided three assists in 10 appearances this season, and he could be the key to unlocking Palace’s attack going forward, with Roy Hodgson’s side putting in strong defensive performances but struggling in front of goal at times.
If interest increases in Eze, his long-term contract means that Palace could ask for a huge fee if he is to depart, but for now Palace fans can relax knowing that he is set to stay for the time being.
