Crystal Palace have already lost Michael Olise this summer and now a second departure could be becoming a real possibility.
The exit of Michael Olise has now been confirmed and Crystal Palace’s hunt for a replacement is well underway with multiple names already being mentioned.
Ismalia Sarr has been mentioned in recent days along with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s Olympics teammate Maghnes Akliouche who would be an exciting addition. Both were excellent in Ligue 1 last season.
But while one big sale was the ambition for this summer, it seems Palace will be hard-pressed to avoid losing further star players.
This, according to the latest updates around the potential sale of Marc Guehi which will be music to Arsenal’s ears.
Marc Guehi is set to reject contract offer from Crystal Palace
With Olise gone, attention will now be turning to keeping both Guehi and Ebere Eze this summer.
However, according to a report by The Sun, for Guehi this could become difficult as the Eagles are said to have offered him a new contract which is set to be rejected by Palace.
Guehi has two years remaining on his £50k-a-week contract, but if he is rejecting a new contract it could be that Palace are forced to cash in, rather than waiting until he has just a year left which would see his value drop.
The report suggests that Palace are keen to get Guehi to sign a new deal with a release clause included but the England star has no intention of doing so.
Guehi is keen to explore his options this summer with Manchester United interested and Arsenal are also said to be on red alert.

Should Palace sell Marc Guehi?
The decision of whether to sell Guehi or not ultimately comes down to whether this is the best time to sell, as it’s inevitable he departs eventually.
So if he refuses to sign a new contract, then this is absolutely the correct time to sell because in a year his value will be lower with just 12 months on his contract.
Because of this and also the fact that Palace did just fine without Guehi last season, a sale should probably be sanctioned after the Euros when his value will be at an all-time high which will see the biggest margin of profit after his £18m move.
This would give Palace the best chance of replacing him with a top defender this summer. Adding to the recruitment of Chadi Riad already this summer.
