Sam Johnstone has completed his move to Wolves from Crystal Palace.
After a summer of speculation over his future, Sam Johnstone has now completed his exit from Crystal Palace.
The writing was on the wall for the England international after Oliver Glasner stripped him of his No.1 jersey.
Now, Johnstone has joined Wolves for £10m on deadline day. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are set to sign Matt Turner as his replacement.

Sam Johnstone sends a farewell message to fans
Crystal Palace have sold Johnstone to Wolves, and now the England international has sent a message to the fans on his Instagram.

“Thank you to everyone at Crystal Palace! I’ve loved playing for this club! You fans welcomed me with open arms from the minute I arrived, and I thank you for all your constant support!
“I’m grateful to everyone I’ve come across in the club, thank you!! To those I shared the pitch with, I’ve made friends & memories for life. Wishing you all nothing but the best for the future, Eagles, Thanks, SJ!”
After this post, one Crystal Palace player to respond was Chris Richards with the American writing: “Gonna miss you bro”, this was followed by a heart emoji with the comment.
Oliver Glasner ultimately made his decision on Johnstone, no matter how much he is going to be missed – but the decision does resemble a massive vote of confidence in one player.
Crystal Palace taking a risk on Dean Henderson
While Dean Henderson is firmly established as the number-one goalkeeper for Glasner, it is not too long ago that fans wanted the now No.1 gone, with Johnstone favoured.
Not to mention when Glasner first arrived, he opted for Johnstone as his starting goalkeeper – right up until his injury.
So it turns out that this injury for Johnstone has effectively ended his Selhurst Park career.
It is a massive vote of confidence in Henderson to get rid of Johnstone and we are excited to see if he can be the goalkeeper we saw at the back end of last season again.
