Crystal Palace have now agreed personal terms with Daniel Munoz – and a deal could be agreed with Genk within 48 hours.

Well – according to Capera – Crystal Palace have finalised a contract for the Colombia international, so it is now up to Dougie Freedman to agree a deal with Genk.
The Guardian claimed on Tuesday that the Belgian side want £8.6m to sell Munoz and an opening offer had been made.
Interestingly, the South American has actually gone on strike at the Jupiler Pro League outfit in order to force through a move to Selhurst Park – according to Bob Faesen of HLN Sport.
Capera wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Agreement between Crystal Palace and Daniel Munoz on personal terms for the Colombian’s arrival to the Premier League. With Genk they continue negotiating. A decisive 48 hours are coming.”
Munoz has scored seven goals – while also providing two assists – in 29 appearances for Genk so far this season.
This deal will surely get done
In our view, we would be shocked if Freedman now fails to finalise this transfer.
An asking price of £8.6m is relatively small for a Premier League club – so we would expect a fee to be agreed soon – and as far as Munoz’s side of things is concerned, everything appears to be in order there.
As a result, we would expect significant movement on this transfer within the next 48 hours – as Capera states.
Realistically, it would be quite embarrassing for us if we fail to cough up £8.6m – that is peanuts for a side who have been in the Premier League for over a decade.
