Dougie Freedman is a busy man right now, and he’s now exploring a deal to sign a Premier League icon.
Crystal Palace could look completely different by the time next Friday’s deadline rolls around, with several plates spinning within Copers Cope.
It all started this week when Crystal Palace agreed to sell Joachim Andersen to Fulham for £30m, which sparked a replacement search which is led by Maxence Lacroix.
Along with this, Crystal Palace are accepting that Marc Guehi might have to be sold, with Newcastle remaining confident an agreement can be reached.
But outside of this, now the Eagles are looking into possibly signing a player with 123 Premier League goals.

Crystal Palace looking into deal for Raheem Sterling
We wonder how Dougie Freedman has the time to consider a deal like Raheem Sterling right now with all the defensive work which needs to be done.

But according to The Standard, the Eagles are among the clubs now looking into possibly signing Sterling from Chelsea this summer.
Crystal Palace are claimed to have expressed their interest to Chelsea after the 29-year-old was exiled from the Blues’ first-team squad.
Sterling wants to remain in England and is almost guaranteed to depart in the next week, now Crystal Palace just have to wait to see if they will triumph – although it is unknown who else is interested, even Mikel Arteta has touched on how much he likes Sterling, which could lead to an Arsenal move possibly.
The Daily Mail has also added that the Eagles are trying to learn the conditions of a deal to determine whether it is realistic or not considering the £325k-a-week wages Sterling currently receives.
This is quite clearly far too expensive, but if he takes a wage cut or Chelsea commits to paying a chunk of the wages then there are not many reasons to not make this move.
Ian Wright would be delighted with this move for Chelsea exile
Signing a player like Sterling would be a serious coup for Crystal Palace despite the fact his stock has dropped severely.
Selhurst Park icon Ian Wright will be a big fan of the arrival and has often been full of praise for the multiple-time Premier League champion.
Last season he labelled Sterling as having “been fantastic all season” during an episode of Match of the Day.
Sterling is a hugely successful player, with countless career honours and he still is not even into his 30’s which gives us confidence that he has more to give.
Last season in a poor Chelsea side he scored 10 goals and had eight assists in all competitions.
