- EXCLUSIVE with Graeme Bailey
Crystal Palace are expected to announce the arrival of Eddie Nketiah soon – but the Eagles are now showing interest in another Arsenal player too.
As Odsonne Edouard undergoes a medical with Leicester City ahead of a loan move, England international Nketiah is set to join Crystal Palace in a £30m move from the Emirates Stadium.
Now – however – Crystal Palace could sign another Arsenal player in addition to Eddie Nketiah before the 11pm transfer deadline…
Crystal Palace want Reiss Nelson
We Are Palace have now been told that Crystal Palace are among a number of Premier League clubs considering a deal to sign Arsenal No.24 Reiss Nelson before the deadline.
The £100,000-a-week winger only made one Premier League start under Mikel Arteta last season, despite being tied to a new five-year contract in the summer of 2023 when his previous deal expired.

As a result, Nelson’s agent is said to be keen on finding him a move away from Arsenal before the transfer window closes, with West Ham being offered the chance to sign the 24-year-old, while Fulham are showing interest as well as Crystal Palace.
Arsenal and Raheem Sterling may hold the key
A story from The Athletic states that Arsenal are exploring a late deal to sign Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea – a move which could be pivotal in the Gunners allowing Nelson to depart.

It was previously claimed in The Athletic that Arsenal did not want to lose the Hale End graduate after allowing Fabio Vieira to join Porto on loan, with Arteta unwilling to weaken his forward depth so significantly.
However, if Sterling arrives to bolster Arsenal’s attacking department – shoving Nelson down the pecking order even more – the Gunners will surely agree to let him depart.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen before the 11pm deadline.
