Crystal Palace’s season has not gone to plan at all, and so January has in a way become incredibly important for Oliver Glasner.
Several positions would ideally be strengthened for the Austrian.
This is because Crystal Palace have only won one game in the opening 11 Premier League games this season. The Eagles have a 9 per cent win rate this season which has resulted in the club sitting 18th in the division.

As the January transfer window draws close, now links are beginning to heat up around potential signings for Oliver Glasner – with Chris Rigg being linked on numerous occasions.
Meanwhile, Benfica’s Tomas Araujo has found himself once again linked with the Eagles after last summer’s failed bid.
But now a new player has been linked and it’s a name new to everyone.

Crystal Palace keen on Terry Yegbe
With Marc Guehi having an uncertain future at Selhurst Park, centre-halves are sure to be targeted in the upcoming transfer windows.

Now, Crystal Palace have been linked with Terry Yegbe from IF Elfsborg.
It comes according to Fotboll Direkt, who report that the Eagles are showing a ‘great interest’ in Yegbe – alongside Fulham, SC Freiburg, Union Berlin and Sheffield United.
Yegbe only joined Elfsborg in January 2024 – yet his performances so far have got him on the radar of clubs in England.
The Ghanaian defender could be for sale in January and Elfsborg will demand a club-record fee of €5m (£4.1m) to sell him.
Who is Yegbe? Dougie Freedman’s latest project
Yegbe is not a name many fans will be familiar with – however, when glancing at his qualities, it is easy to see why Dougie Freedman may be keen.
The three-time capped Ghana U23 international stands at nearly 6ft 4in and with three goals in 22 games this season for Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan, he is clearly an aerial threat.
Yegbe is left-footed and despite being a natural centre-back, he is capable as a left-back as well.
The giant is an excellent progressive dribbler with the ball – however, his passing is in the bottom 15% of players in his position in the league.
Yegbe is dominant in tackles, winning 88% of those he attempts.
A player who is impressive in numerous ways but is far from the finished product – if signed he would be a player Glasner will have to work on.
