Crystal Palace’s summer plans have taken a hit as it’s been claimed one top target looks like an unlikely arrival.
Oliver Glasner had hinted previously that the week in Marbella was when he and Dougie Freedman would begin squad planning for the upcoming summer transfer window.
With numerous expected departures, some of which are expensive ones, there should be a real scope for business to be done this summer at Selhurst Park.
But despite that, one target has now been labelled as unlikely. Here’s the latest regarding Crystal Palace‘s pursuit of Newcastle United loanee Lewis Hall.

Crystal Palace unlikely to lure Lewis Hall
This summer Palace will be in the market to strengthen multiple positions, one of which is possibly the left wing-back role with Tyrick Mitchell not being a natural fit.
This has seen current Newcastle loanee and Chelsea youngster Lewis Hall emerge as an early target for the Eagles.
But now according to a report from GiveMeSport, Palace are actually unlikely to sign Hall despite the talent being unlikely to remain at Newcastle, not justifying his £28m obligation to buy which could see the Magpies look to shift him out immediately.
This is despite reports during the past week suggesting that Palace were in fact ready to make a bid for the 19-year-old.
Lewis Hall could be a coup for Oliver Glasner
Since arriving on Tyneside last summer, Hall has struggled, barely featuring for Eddie Howe’s side.
This could leave him and the club keen for a fresh cut this summer, with a move back to London potentially being beneficial to Hall.
At Palace under Glasner he could be a regular first-team player, with him and Mitchell fighting for the one position and with the Palace academy graduate out of contract in 2025 he could be the perfect long-term successor.
Once hailed as being a ‘quality‘ player by Frank Lampard, he still has time on his side to prove this true.
