Crystal Palace now want to sign Danny Ings from West Ham.

That is according to Sky Sports.

So, what is the situation involving Danny Ings and Crystal Palace? Let’s take a look…

Crystal Palace want Danny Ings

Well, it is no secret that Roy Hodgson’s side are goal shy.

Only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored fewer than Crystal Palace’s haul of 22 goals in 20 Premier League outings so far this season.

Now, however – according to Sky Sports – Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman are looking to rectify that with a move for Ings.

The 31-year-old has struggled for playing time under David Moyes this term, making just one start in the Premier League.

Sky Sports add that Wolves are also keen to sign Ings – who has scored 70 goals in 215 Premier League appearances throughout his career.

The West Ham No.18 has been a target for Crystal Palace before.

Back in July 2018, the Guardian claimed that Crystal Palace were stepping up efforts to sign Ings from Liverpool, only for Southampton to eventually agree a deal with the Reds.

Problem for Crystal Palace

Despite his lack of action at West Ham this season, Ings may end up staying in east London.

Sky Sports believe the Hammers currently have no plans to sell the £15m England international following injuries to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen, with Moyes unwilling to weaken his attacking options further.

Therefore, it will require a push from Ings himself to force an exit this month, and even if the Winchester-born forward does ask to leave, there is still no guarantee that West Ham will grant his wish.

If West Ham deny the forward a move, Freedman could submit a bid for Arsenal No.14 Eddie Nketiah, while Getafe striker Borja Mayoral has also been linked with a move to Selhurst Park.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation – however – as anything could happen this month.
