Fabrizio Romano has now shared what it will take for Crystal Palace to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal in January.
The reliable journalist spoke to Caught Offside.
So, what is the latest on Crystal Palace target Eddie Nketiah? Let’s take a look…
Eddie Nketiah update
Well – according to Football Transfers – Crystal Palace are once again interested in the England international, who was the subject of a bid from Steve Parish back in 2022.
It sounds as if any potential deal hinges on whether Brentford No.17 Ivan Toney moves to the Emirates Stadium, or another top striker.
Now – however – Romano has revealed what it would take for Arsenal to sell Nketiah regardless of any incomings.

The Italian said: “There is speculation again about Eddie Nketiah’s future at Arsenal. Interest has always been there from five to six Premier League clubs and I am told also Bundesliga clubs – it’s normal as Eddie is a very good striker, but Arsenal are still happy with Nketiah.
“There are currently no concrete or advanced negotiations, I think it could only change with a very important proposal, but at this stage, Arsenal are not desperate to sell Nketiah. At all.”
Clearly, it would require a significant bid to sign the 24-year-old in January.
Crystal Palace have Nketiah alternatives
Nketiah is not the only striker Crystal Palace are said to be monitoring.
A story from TEAMtalk states that Dougie Freedman is looking at Getafe No.19 Borja Mayoral – another forward who has long been on our radar, having first been linked in 2021.

VfB Stuttgart talisman Serhou Guirassy – a man fighting Harry Kane for the Bundesliga Golden Boot this season – is also being monitored, according to 90min.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Selhurst Park in January, as one of these strikers could arrive to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is keen to depart.
