Oliver Glasner is now competing against Crystal Palace after bringing three trophies to Selhurst Park.
The Austrian has signed a three-year contract at Nottingham Forest after deciding to walk away from south London, strangely choosing not to name Crystal Palace in his first interview.
Glasner could now take a transfer target away from the Eagles too, as Voetbal Krant claim Nottingham Forest have made a bid for Arne Engels.

It was Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri who initially claimed that Crystal Palace want to sign Engels from Celtic this summer – adding that Nottingham Forest view the Belgium international as the ideal replacement for Elliot Anderson.
The England international recently left the City Ground to seal a £116m move to Manchester City.
Voetbal Krant now state that Nottingham Forest are pressing ahead with plans to sign Engels – who moved to Glasgow in an £11m move from Augsburg in August 2024 – and have made a ‘formal offer’ to Celtic for the Belgian as they attempt to ‘lead the charge’ for his signature.
It remains to be seen if Crystal Palace will match this undisclosed bid, considering the Eagles have already been linked to three other central midfielders too.
The UEFA Conference League winners have held talks with Wolves over a move for Joao Gomes, while Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in Shea Charles at Southampton.
RTI Esporte in South America add that Crystal Palace are monitoring Paraguay international Damian Bobadilla – so Engels is not the only option for Pierre Sage this summer.
Considering Nottingham Forest have a £116m war-chest to play with after selling Anderson on top of their existing budget, that is probably for the best, as it feels likely we will be outbid for the Celtic star.
However, with Daichi Kamada now staying at Crystal Palace for at least the next 12 months, there is less of a need for the Eagles to rush the search for a new midfielder.
