Crystal Palace progressed into the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night after beating Aston Villa 2-1.
After waiting all season for a win against Premier League opposition, two have come back-to-back for the Eagles, beating both Spurs and Aston Villa in successive games.
This comes one week after Oliver Glasner found himself under pressure, with Steve Parish reportedly showing an interest in appointing Graham Potter.
Crystal Palace are in a vastly different situation right now ahead of facing Wolves on Saturday, with confidence around the club growing.

Wednesday saw the Villians slain at Villa Park after Eberechi Eze and Daichi Kamada goals – but there was one Eagles star who was the clear MVP.
Daichi Kamada steals the headlines but Daniel Munoz was the MVP
Matt Turner made his Crystal Palace debut on Wednesday in the win and the American goalkeeper impressed fans.
However despite his eight saves and Kamada’s winning goal – it was Daniel Munoz who stood out as the most important player in victory.

Munoz was arguably the man of the match for Crystal Palace – with his performance down the right side very impressive.
The Colombian was dominant on and off the ball – locking down the right side, enabling the Eagles to hold on to secure the win and progress to the last eight against Arsenal.
Glasner has had Munoz an ever-present since his arrival in February, and with this outing, he continues to justify his position as a very important squad player.
Munoz stats for Crystal Palace vs Villa
Munoz was on top form for Crystal Palace in the 2-1 win, providing an assist for Eze’s opener in the process – prior to the English international being forced off through injury.
However, the performance was much more than just his goal – as Munoz also proved dominant across the pitch.
- 4 chances created
- 62 touches
- 2 successful dribbles
- 3 crosses
- 5 tackles won
- 2 clearances
- 9 defensive actions
- 4 recoveries
- 11 duels won
Munoz was so good defensively that he caused former Crystal Palace target Jaden Philogene to have a mare, scoring a 5.7 match rating on FotMob, with a 30% dribble completion rate.
The 28-year-old consistently shows himself to be among the Eagles’ most reliable players – and this performance deserves plenty of praise.
