Crystal Palace are one of the clubs seemingly desperate to sign Jaden Philogene this summer and now have an ace up their sleeve.
Jaden Philogene has quickly emerged as one of if not the most sought-after wingers in the Premier League following his excellent season for Hull City.
The 22-year-old scored 12 goals and had six assists in his debut campaign after moving from Aston Villa last summer. This form has made him a target for as many as four clubs in England’s top division, including Crystal Palace.
Dougie Freedman is currently battling against Everton, Ipswich and Villa for the signature of the talented winger and a final decision is expected very soon.
Now, Palace have got the upper hand in the race to sign him as the latest news coming out of Selhurst Park suggests.

Hull City now eyeing up Jesurun Rak-Sakyi as Philogene replacement
Palace’s desire to sign Philogene has been widely reported and has even seen a bid submitted to Hull in order to sign him.
But now, the chances of Philogene joining Oliver Glasner’s team have just increased according to the latest report from Alan Nixon on Patreon.
The journalist has reported that Hull has now joined the race to sign Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from the Eagles on loan this summer in what would be to replace Philogene.
This comes in a competitive race to sign the Palace starlet, as QPR, Watford, Blackburn, Luton and Sheffield United are all also keen.
This is the second boost Palace have been handed recently with a former Everton CEO believing Palace can hijack the deal for Philogene which is worth £20m.
This surely gives Crystal Palace the upper hand
While this is nothing official, Hull wanting to sign Rak-Sakyi gives them the incentive to sell Philogene to the Eagles as they could decide the deals are interlinked.
Palace would receive a winger who is exciting and has the ability and potential to replace Michael Olise after his move to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, the Tigers would be getting an equally exciting and in need of game time after a disappointing 2023/24 season.
Philogene is undoubtedly one of the best choices to replace Olise for Palace with his moments of magic possibly replacing those we’ve become accustomed to from Olise.
