Crystal Palace lost to West Ham in game week two.
The loss comes one week after losing the opening game of the season to Brentford, with the game at Selhurst Park finishing West Ham 2-0 Crystal Palace.
The game saw Chadi Riad make his debut, with fans not entirely sold on him just yet after a far-from-assured first outing at Selhurst Park.
Oliver Glasner can however take plenty of positives from this display, particularly the first-half saw some impressive moments.
Now, both Chris Richards and Dean Henderson have had their say on the performance from Crystal Palace.
How Dean Henderson and Chris Richards reacted after West Ham loss
Speaking to club media after the game, Henderson explained his disappointment over the defeat.
“Yeah unfortunately we created some chances in the first half that we didn’t take. We got sucker punched with a bit of a deflection in the box then we’re 1-0 down and chasing the game, it’s disappointing.
“Hopefully, we’ve just got to flip the switch and we can kick on. I think if [we] score while we are on top it’s a completely different game but unfortunately, we didn’t today, hopefully, we can turn it around quickly.”
Following this, Richards had his say and echoed and agreed with what Henderson said, also speaking to club media.
“Yeah it’s disappointing, I think we created some good chances, It’s just kind of how the cookies crumbling right now. I think if we could’ve got a goal it could have changed the game.
“We have the quality to have stopped their two goals, but I think it was just unlucky. I think the last two weekends have been harsh lessons but it’s a long season and it’s early on, so we have time to turn it around.”

Despite having two losses in the opening two games, signs are positive that Crystal Palace will eventually come good.
The Eagles will have left both games thinking they could have won with fine margins being the difference.
Crystal Palace had the exact same expected goals tally as West Ham and more big chances – which tells us that nine times out of 10, the Eagles would have walked out winners.
In fact, Crystal Palace had 1.24 xG from open play, while West Ham had just 0.73. Therefore, the Eagles will be confident that one of these weeks, everything will come together.
