Crystal Palace finally got into the win column this season by beating Tottenham 1-0 at Selhurst Park.
The 2024/25 season had been disastrous for the Eagles through the opening eight games of the season – without a single win in the books.
This run left Oliver Glasner under pressure – with reports last week pointing toward the Eagles boss potentially getting sacked.

However, Sunday brought a change of fortunes with Crystal Palace overcoming Tottenham 1-0 in a win which could flip the season on its head.
After the win, Glasner was defiant that he will stay in his job – and we are fully behind him as this result could be the catalyst needed.
Andre Moritz in awe of Eberechi Eze moment
In the 1-0 win, it was Jean-Philippe Mateta who scored the only goal and winner, moving the Eagles to six points and 17th in the league table.
Mateta’s celebration could suggest a new contract is in the offing – as he brought back his almost legendary corner-kicking celebration.
But it was a moment in the build-up that left fan favourite Andre Moritz wowed.

For Mateta’s goal, Daniel Munoz started the move with a cross into the box which found Eberechi Eze.
Eze then sublimely re-directed the ball into the path of Mateta.
The Frenchman then fired a low shot which beat the Spurs goalkeeper with ease, before he wheeled away in celebration.
In reaction to this moment from Eze, club icon Moritz reacted on Instagram, writing: “That’s absolutely magical”.

Crystal Palace’s next five games are decisive for Oliver Glasner
Despite winning against Spurs, the position of Crystal Palace is far from good enough.
Due to this, Glasner needs to use this win as momentum for all it is worth – and the next five games could very well be key in this.

Next weekend, the Eagles are handed a fortunate and very winnable game against 20th-placed Wolves – which could see Crystal Palace pick up a second win of the campaign.
After this, Crystal Palace will take on a struggling Fulham which at this rate is also very winnable.
A trip to Aston Villa and then Newcastle at home concludes November in the Premier League – by which stage we would predict that Crystal Palace should be out of the relegation zone.
