Crystal Palace remain in search of Roy Hodgson’s replacement and that hunt seems to look increasingly likely to lead to Oliver Glasner.
Roy Hodgson is on thin ice and has been for a few weeks at this stage and after yet another defeat on Monday night, rumours are now hot once more over his replacement.
With the latest defeat, next Monday against Everton is likely a deciding fixture – assuming he isn’t sacked this week – which Crystal Palace must win as if they don’t, the relegation zone could be worryingly close.
Now though, it seems Palace have narrowed their new manager search with a Europa League-winning boss among the favourites.
Here’s the latest on Crystal Palace’s managerial hunt…

Crystal Palace eyeing Oliver Glasner as an option
As the search intensifies, The Telegraph‘s Mike McGrath has reported that Palace currently have two managers in the running.
Kieran McKenna is the first name on the list, but he is joined there by Austrian-born Oliver Glasner, who was first linked with the job last week.
Glasner is the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager and has won a few honours in his career thus far which is likely what’s making him an attractive option for Palace.
Currently he is out of a job, so Palace will be hoping he would want to join immediately in hopes of turning this season around, something McKenna is said to have rejected the chance to do already.
Glasner wouldn’t be the best option for Palace
Glasner would arrive at the club with zero experience managing in England which puts him at a severe disadvantage in joining a relegation battle with no time to find your feet.
Steve Parish will without a doubt be scarred from his experiences of hiring European coaches who aren’t Premier League experienced from Frank De Boer.
Therefore if Glasner was chosen, it is likely because he’s the only one willing to say yes right now, while the others would rather wait for the summer.
Steve Cooper and Julen Lopetegui are two names who are believed to be going that route and would be substantially better options if Palace were able to wait.
