Roy Hodgson is finally getting some players back after a tough couple of months which saw the Eagles go through an injury crisis.

We saw Eberechi Eze finally return in the win over Burnley and pick up an assist, whilst Tyrick Mitchell, who limped off against Spurs, was fine and also managed to score against Burnley and he was praised for his performance.

Despite this, there are still some players unavailable, as well as some currently being assessed ahead of the match on the weekend.

Academy product Jesurun Rak-Sakyi was surprisingly not in the squad for Palace’s last match, but it turns out that this was due to the player picking up an injury. It has now been shared that he has suffered a hamstring injury and he faces some time on the sidelines. This will no doubt be very frustrating for the player and fans as the winger was just starting to get some more game time under Roy Hodgson.

Speaking about the injury, Hodgson told London News Online: “It’s bad. We don’t know 100 per cent. We’re not talking a week or two, we’re probably talking longer than that. It’s a real blow.”

Michael Olise

Crystal Palace are currently keeping very quiet on Michael Olise, and that is no doubt good news as the winger has been nearing a return for the last couple of weeks. He has been taking part in training and is currently being assessed ahead of the match against Burnley. Despite not making that squad, there is definitely hope that he will be able to return to the squad for the match against Everton. If not then it sounds like he will definitely be back after the international break.

Expected Return Date: 25th November 2023

James Tomkins

James Tomkins has been missing the last few weeks with a hamstring injury and luckily it is one in which he looks to be able to recover from sooner rather than later. It looks like the earliest we may see the defender available for selection is after the November international break. Luckily Palace now have a lot of squad depth at centre-back, as Tomkins, who is now seen as a fringe player, has definitely been picking up a few more injuries over the last year.

Expected Return Date: 25th November 2023

Dean Henderson

There hasn’t been much more said on the injury to Dean Henderson since he picked up the issue in the Carabao Cup this season. Sadly it looks to be a long-term one, and with the club currently unsure on when he will return, we may not see him until early 2024. The goalkeeper also picked up a long-term injury last season so this is definitely something the Eagles need to keep an eye on.
