Oliver Glasner is running out of time to get things right at Crystal Palace and his replacement is already being linked.
After losing 1-0 at the City Ground to Nottingham Forest, Oliver Glasner finds himself under serious pressure.
Winless in eight Premier League games, the Austrian can hardly be surprised by speculation around his future – as Crystal Palace sit 18th in the league, on course for a sure relegation.

During the defeat to Forest, the team was so bad and disjointed that a short cameo from Asher Agbinone was far and away the standout moment in the game.
With Glasner on thin ice, his possible replacement could already have one player in his mind as a nailed-down star player.
Graham Potter has already been full of praise for Trevoh Chalobah
Adding more pressure on Glasner, it has now been reported that Steve Parish is a fan of Graham Potter, with the Englishman an option to replace Glasner should it come to that.
If appointed, Potter could be absolutely thrilled to have one player under his disposal.
Back in 2022 while he was the Chelsea manager, Potter spoke in glowing terms about the then-Blues defender Trevoh Chalobah, as quoted by Chelsea club media.
“I’ve been very impressed from day one”, Potter admitted about Chalobah after he stepped up following a Wesley Fofana injury.
“He wasn’t in for the first couple of games but acted perfectly: trained really well, very professional, very determined. He’s an impressive character, very focused on his football.
“He’s a bit of a soldier. He’s played in all the games, we’re having some problems in terms of availability for players, but he’s stood up, stood in and he’s performing at a really good level.”
By the sounds of things, Chalobah has a fan in the potential new Eagles boss, something which could see him become a star and also almost guarantee he would be offered a chance to move permanently if he wanted next summer – following his £50,000-a-week loan.

Sacking Oliver Glasner won’t fix Crystal Palace
The record this season really gives the club little to no choice if it continues – but in an ideal world, it should not be happening and won’t fix much.
Glasner showed last season how elite he is as a manager, and after a summer in which the club failed to adequately replace Olise’s attacking output, it is no wonder he’s struggling.

When the most creative player is the right-back who is not a natural attacker, things are bad and Eze’s struggles are also a result of Olise’s exit as he struggles to be the main outlet.
The true fix for the Eagles would be to receive better backing from the higher-ups – recruiting players who are not exactly top fits for what Glasner needed.
Potter might be a success, but without change above him, we will probably be back in this situation in a year’s time.
