Odsonne Edouard departed Crystal Palace on deadline day, completing a season-long loan switch.
Leicester City snapped up the outgoing Eagles striker, making space in Oliver Glasner’s squad for an attacking signing to be made.
Odsonne Edouard’s exit made way for Eddie Nketiah – with the new Crystal Palace No.9 arriving in his place.
So far, this move is yet to be considered as a real success with Nketiah only scoring once for the Eagles, this coming against QPR in the Carabao Cup.

How Odsonne Edouard has fared for Leicester so far
Goals have been very hard to come by for the Eagles this season with just five scored thus far after seven games.

With such a poor offensive record, the Eagles might be left wishing there was a player with proven goal-scoring acumen like Edouard on the bench to bring on.
Since his deadline day move though, Edouard is still yet to score his first goal in blue for the Foxes.

Edouard has yet to score or even have a shot in the Premier League in 24 minutes of action.
Far from impressive by the loanee to date, although with such limited minutes, he can not really be blamed.
Edouard’s last outing was his longest for the Foxes and this should mean we get to see him kick on after this international break and hopefully he can begin to prove his worth.
What Crystal Palace are planning to do with club No.22 Edouard
While it is clear Edouard has no future at Crystal Palace under Glasner – at least as things stand – the Frenchman will be back at Selhurst Park next summer.
The Eagles made sure of this, signing Edouard to a contract extension prior to his loan exit to Leicester.
This ensures that the Eagles could loan him without the risk of his contract expiring in the summer of 2025.
Dougie Freedman made a smart move here as he has retained the value of Edouard – ahead of what we imagine will be a sale in a year’s time.
This is not a sure thing, although all indications are that he will be off unless he can play his way back into Glasner’s plans – something he is currently failing to do.
