Yeremy Pino became the first player to win the World Cup while contracted to Crystal Palace on Sunday as Spain recorded a 1-0 win over Argentina.
The Crystal Palace No.10 only played 69 minutes at the tournament, but seems to be highly rated by Luis de la Fuente – who called the former Villarreal star “tremendous” in the early stages of the competition after he played on with a serious shoulder injury.
There is a great team spirit at Crystal Palace right now, so it was no surprise to see several players express their delight for Pino after he won the World Cup.

Cheick Doucoure, Daniel Munoz and others respond as Yeremy Pino lifts World Cup
Cheick Doucoure was one of the first to react, commenting on Pino’s Instagram page celebrating the victory by singing his chant. The Malian wrote: “Yereeemiii Pinooo 🎵😍”
Daniel Munoz also replied, posting: “Yes Mr world champion ❤️ 🔥 congratulations little brother.”
Brennan Johnson and Rio Cardines responded too, purely in the form of emojis. The latter commented “👏👏❤️🔥” whereas Johnson posted six heart emojis.
Jefferson Lerma – who Pino consoled after Colombia were knocked out – replied with “how great you are 🙏🏿😍❤️” as Remi Matthews posted “😍😍” in response on Instagram.
In a now-expired Instagram story, Jorgen Strand Larsen was even seen to have called Pino up on FaceTime almost immediately after the victory, speaking to the 23-year-old in the dressing room.
Furthermore, the official Crystal Palace account responded, posting: “❤️💙❤️💙”
Some former Crystal Palace players were involved too. Christantus Uche commented “❤️🔥” and Yannick Bolasie wrote: “Yes my broooooo🔥🔥🔥🔥 congrats.”
Joel Ward posted “👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼” to applaud Pino as well.
There was also a message from Mark Bright, who posted: “👏👏👏🏆 Many congratulations Yéremy ⚽️ 🏆”

Evidently, many associated with Crystal Palace are absolutely delighted for Pino, who will hopefully go up a level in the 2026/27 campaign after becoming a World Cup winner.
