How Eddie Nketiah has blown away his teammates in Crystal Palace training before Everton clash

Eddie Nketiah has made three appearances for Crystal Palace so far since joining, but he has just shown why the club should expect more.

This summer the marquee signing for the Eagles was Eddie Nketiah, costing £25m from Arsenal in a move which was a long time in the making.

Nketiah has since shown some real quality, but only has one goal which he scored in the Carabao Cup against QPR.

This is as the Eagles have struggled for form early this season – but Nketiah is unbeaten as a Crystal Palace player thus far, with two draws in the Premier League.

However now in a training clip, Nketiah has demonstrated his immense talent with a spectacular goal.

In preparation for facing Everton, the Eagles have been working hard in training but it is Nketiah who has been blowing his teammates away with an excellent performance in training.

The Eagles have released some training footage, and in the video Nketiah’s goal wowed all of his teammates.

Running through on goal, Nketiah lobbed the goalkeeper with a perfectly executed chip – leaving his teammates in awe, yelling in admiration after the goal.

In the background, the defensive unit he was attacking against can be seen collapsing to the ground after the goal, with Maxence Lacroix looking defeated.

Such an incredible goal shows what Nketiah is truly capable of and demonstrates why we should expect more from him going forward.

Oliver Glasner should be handed his No.9 a new role vs Everton

Since arriving at Selhurst Park, Nketiah has been deployed on the right side of the three attackers Glasner tends to play – a role which is far from natural for the striker.

This caused Tony Cascarino to state that he thinks Nketiah is not enjoying his football playing under Glasner.

However, after the 0-0 draw with Manchester United, it has become clear that some changes are needed in the squad and in the attacking positions.

Therefore this weekend against a reinforced Everton side, we expect Nketiah will be used as a striker for the first time since he arrived at the club.

This could see Jean-Philippe Mateta dropped and Ismaila Sarr brought in for a start on the right side where he has been impressive in recent weeks.
