Crystal Palace could be in the market for a new manager soon and Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna is believed to be within reach.
Over the last week, noise around Selhurst Park has pointed to the fact Roy Hodgson could be on his way out.
Hodgson has overseen one win in 10 for Crystal Palace which has seen serious questions raised over his future at the club – despite recent improvements in performance.
Palace picked up a point at The Etihad last weekend after a dramatic comeback to 2-2 and the week before pushed Liverpool close in a 2-1 defeat.
However, despite this noise around replacements has persisted with Steve Cooper believed to be the favourite as it’s thought talks between club and manager will open.
However, despite that the favourite doesn’t always get the job and there have been multiple names mentioned in recent weeks. One of these names is current Championship manager Kieran McKenna who is one of the countries most exciting.

One of the football league’s most exciting managers right now is Ipswich’s McKenna who is a former Manchester United coach.
Journalist Dean Jones was speaking exclusively to GiveMeSport in which he had the following to say about Palace’s potential pursuit of McKenna.
“I don’t think Kieran McKenna would be out of reach for Crystal Palace if they decided they wanted to go and get him, but I do believe that Steve Cooper is the man they want.”
McKenna has dragged Ipswich Town from League One – which he found them in a difficult situation – to being 10 points clear in an automatic promotion place at Christmas.
It’s a remarkable feat and it’s really no surprise that he’s attract such interest from over clubs in England.
How would McKenna fit in at Palace?
People are very excited by McKenna given how brilliant he has been at Ipswich. He’s turned them from a team in League One who in fairness were never contenders into possible championship winners and a Premier League side in just two years.
The style of football he plays is also excellent and resembles some of Europe’s elite with excellent possession football.
One thing a McKenna led Palace definitely wouldn’t be lacking would be goals, with Ipswich a very exciting team to watch and almost always amongst the goals.
