John Textor remains in the market for the sale of his Crystal Palace shares with one NBA head coach joining a consortium.
It was first declared earlier this year that John Textor and Eagle Football’s 45 per cent stake in Crystal Palace was up for sale.
- John Textor – 45 per cent
- Steve Parish – 10 per cent
- Josh Harris – 10 per cent
- David Blitzer – 10 per cent
Following this move, Textor was eyeing up a takeover at Everton, however since then he has lost that race for the Toffees – although he is still keen to sell after considering his options.
Crystal Palace have plenty of suitors, with two Eagles supporters submitting a bid in recent days – with Textor considering an offer to take over Watford.
Now, details of a previously unnamed American consortium have emerged.
Jason Kidd part of consortium to purchase Crystal Palace shares
Selling his shares in Crystal Palace is proving a more difficult task than he would have thought. Despite high interest levels.

Now, according to the Athletic, a new consortium offer has arrived which includes Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd who is part of the group to have made an offer.
However, this offer is believed to have fallen below the valuation which Textor placed on his shares – but the group do retain an interest.
Kidd is a member of the basketball hall of fame, twice winning gold medals with Team USA in the Olympics and is one of five people involved in this bid.
He is joined by Morgan Stanley sports executive Bejan Esmaili and also former Roc Nation attorney executive Wajid Mir. Finally, two Saudi businessmen Haider and Manor Syed are involved.
Who are Haider and Manoor Syed?
Two names which are interestingly involved in this consortium are the Syed brothers, Haider and Mansoor who are both Saudi businessmen.
The pair have established a fund with the intention of purchasing a football club – with Crystal Palace clearly emerging as an option.
The brothers have supposedly met with the Crystal Palace hierarchy – including both Parish and Textor – while also attending a match at Selhurst Park and touring the club’s academy.
The consortium is yet to submit an improved offer and do face plenty of competition which makes it hard to say who is favourite at this moment in time.
