Speculation continues to rage on over Oliver Glasner and his future at Crystal Palace, but it sounds like Steve Parish knows exactly how to keep the manager happy.

Obviously, given Crystal Palace’s recent success, there is talk of Oliver Glasner’s head being swayed in the direction of a job offer from elsewhere.

Glasner’s record as Crystal Palace manager is outstanding — he has the best win rate in the Premier League era for the club. But, his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Thankfully, Glasner’s relationship with chairman Steve Parish is a strong one. And now, Parish has delivered an update on where the club stands in terms of negotiating a new deal with their manager.

Steve Parish outlines Oliver Glasner requirements

In an interview with Henry Winter for talkSPORT, Steve Parish outlined all the conditions Palace need to get right for Glasner to commit his future to the club.

He said: “We’ve had some early conversations. We’d love to keep Oliver. We’re building something. I think for Oliver it’s about the conditions being right.”

It’s suggested keeping the squad strong, whether that be retaining top players or replacing them effectively, is key to Glasner’s future.

“It’s about everything being in a way that he enjoys his work and he finds the conditions favourable to achieve. Oliver wants to win things. If we can align those interests then hopefully we can make something happen,” Parish added.

Three managers Crystal Palace could turn to if Glasner leaves

While he has been linked with Manchester United frequently, it’s the Bayern Munich job that Glasner really wants, apparently. It could be a while until that job becomes available, but you never know what the future holds.

So, if Glasner does move on in the summer, what do Palace do? There are a few options out there that the Eagles could turn to if they need to find a new manager.

Palace were linked with Danny Rohl earlier this year, and the German is still without a job as things stand. He’s young, progressive, and has already proven he can work on a limited budget. At Selhurst Park, he would really get a chance to show what he can do.

Meanwhile, you’d have to think that someone like Kieran McKenna would be on the wishlist for Crystal Palace. Again, he’s a young manager who has achieved great success in the Championship. If Ipswich Town fail to get promoted this season, he will likely be tempted away.

Elsewhere, if Palace want to take things in a slightly different direction to Oliver Glasner, they could turn to Porto manager Francesco Farioli. The Italian plays a more aggressive, attacking 4-3-3 formation, and his impressive work in Portugal has his stock higher than ever.
