Crystal Palace summer signing Yeremy Pino is currently away on international duty with Spain, where he scored in their most recent win.

Crystal Palace signed the 22-year-old Yeremy Pino from Villarreal in the summer and the attacker has steadily become one of Oliver Glasner’s key players.

Glasner hailed Pino’s performance against Dynamo Kyiv at the start of the month with Pino grabbing his first two assists for the Eagles in the 2-0 win.

The Spaniard looks like he’s now fully settled in and ready to start scoring and assisting on a more regular basis. In fact, he scored his first goal of the season on Saturday night.

In his 16th cap for Spain, Pino scored his fourth goal as the Spanish beat Georgia 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier.

Yeremy Pino hails Adam Wharton at Crystal Palace

The Spanish national team is brimming with talent, as it so often is. But Pino actually thinks Crystal Palace teammate Adam Wharton would walk straight into the Spain XI, hailing the Englishman’s ability to do everything in the middle of the park.

Pino told The Athletic: “Adam can do everything. Defensively, he is a fighter. He goes in very strong, wins a lot of balls. Technically, you just have to watch him and enjoy him. He has the quality to play in the Spain national team, no doubt.”

Wharton is a long-term transfer target for Real Madrid and the Spanish giants could make Wharton a Galactico in 2026. But it would no doubt cost a pretty penny with reports that Wharton could cost up to £100million in the future.

Steve Parish’s transfer warning over Adam Wharton

Wharton is really turning heads following his £22million move to Selhurst Park back in 2024. Madrid aren’t the only ones interested either with Wharton having links to Man United too.

Speaking in a recent interview, though, Palace owner Steve Parish fired a transfer warning over Wharton’s Crystal Palace future, reminding clubs that he still has a long-term contract running until 2029, but admitting that Wharton will no doubt want to play Champions League football one day.

Parish explained: “I think Adam at some point will want to play either in the Champions League with us – if we can make that happen – or probably with another club. He’s an extraordinary talent.

“I think he’s very committed to the club. If Manchester United want Adam Wharton, there’s nothing really surprising about that. The fact of the matter is he’s got a long contract to run.”

Pino’s comments only cement the idea that Wharton is a top class player with potential to become one of the best midfielders in the world. Where he might end up in the next year or so remains to be seen, though.
