Oliver Glasner has hailed his team’s performance in the Conference League win over Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday, specifically the performance of Yeremy Pino.
On Thursday evening, Crystal Palace beat Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in their Conference League opener away in Poland, with goals coming from Daniel Munoz and Eddie Nketiah either side of half time.
Despite the Eagles going down to 10 men in the second half with Borna Sosa’s red card, Oliver Glasner’s side never looked threatened by Dynamo, as Palace extend their unbeaten run to 19 games in all competitions.
There were several standout players on the night with Crystal Palace fans in awe of Adam Wharton’s performance in particular. But summer signing Yeremy Pino was arguably the star of the show.

Oliver Glasner hails Yeremy Pino after Dynamo Kyiv 0-2 Crystal Palace
Pino shone for Crystal Palace in the win over Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday. The Spaniard grabbed his first assists for the club with a pinpoint cross for Munoz’s opener, and then some tricky footwork to set up Nketiah for the second.
Speaking after the game, Glasner reserved praise for the summer signing from Villarreal. He told the Crystal Palace club website: “He was very good. He worked so hard. In the last games, he didn’t get the reward, but he’s such a great guy, he always keeps going and he gets more and more used to the way we are playing.
“The second assist was too quick for my eyes! I’m already an old guy, too far away, it was too quick, so I’ll have to look back at it on TV! But it was a fantastic assist, and a very good performance.”
What Oliver Glasner said after Yeremy Pino’s Crystal Palace debut
Pino has shown glimpses of a really good player so far at Selhurst Park. His performance against Kyiv though was by far his best and now Glasner will hope he can transfer that form into the Premier League, and also get himself amongst the goals too.
Speaking after Pino made his Crystal Palace debut against Aston Villa back in August, Glasner explained how he feels he needs to adapt to the physicality of the game, saying: “He will have to adapt to the physicality and the pace of the Premier League football, but he’s not the first one and he won’t be the last one who has to adapt.
“He was good, he was dangerous, he had chances and it gives me a good feeling that he will score goals for us.”
Now having had some time to adapt, it looks like we’re soon going to see the very best of Pino on a more regular basis.
Palace return to action against Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
