Crystal Palace are facing substantial interest in their key players in 2024, none more so than Michael Olise. The Frenchman has been an impeccable part of Roy Hodgson‘s side this season when fit.
Before picking up his latest injury he was on fire with four goals and an assist in four games, but his quality hasn’t gone unnoticed with the Premier League‘s biggest circling.
Arsenal have held an interest although that has recently gone quiet but Manchester City have been urged to sign him as he’d be perfect for Pep Guardiola. This all comes just five months on from his Chelsea deal collapsing.
Manchester United however seem to be the side who are most keen, and now a prospective swap deal has been rumoured to be on the table.
Manchester United could offer Aaron Wan-Bissaka in Michael Olise trade
According to ESPN, Manchester United have Olise lined up for this summer as a top target. With the fee likely already determined at £60m (due to his impending release clause), now the report has hinted at a player also being involved in a trade deal.
It’s suggested that United could offer 26-year-old right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in any deal for the Palace winger.
This would be an unexpected bonus for Palace in losing Olise given right-back is a position which requires strengthening.
The deal would see Wan-Bissaka return to Palace, four years on from his £50m move to Old Trafford. This deal could be absolute gold for Palace and far better than just straight cash.
Wan-Bissaka is a serious coup for Palace
For Palace, right-back has been a problem area his season with Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne not at their best anymore.
At 26, Wan-Bissaka is just coming into his prime and his talents could form a seriously dominant full-back pairing with Tyrick Mitchell.
Mitchell is among the leagues best tacklers (86th percentile via FotMob) and so with Wan-Bissaka, an infamously good tackler (winning 76% of his attempts via FotMob) on the right, Palace would prove a daunting task for any winger.
