The Roy Hodgson era at Crystal Palace is over, with Oliver Glasner looking probable to replace the 76-year-old.

With this management change, there will be winners and losers within the squad.

Daniel Munoz

The first name who’ll almost certainly benefit is Palace’s January signing, Daniel Munoz.

The right-back will be hoping that Glasner’s arrival leads to Palace playing with proper wing-backs in a back three/five as opposed to Hodgson’s flat-back four.

Munoz is an out-and-out attacking right-back, so this role would suit him as it’d allow him to roam up and down the wing as he pleases, knowing that security is behind him.

This change in role could see Munoz return to his best, and contribute on the goal-scoring front too adding to his five for Genk before the move.

Chris Richards

Another man who’ll be likely to benefit from the arrival of Glasner is Chris Richards. The United States international has played all over the pitch this season, but with Glasner’s three centre-half preference, he could establish himself on the right side of that three.

Richards would therefore be deployed in his natural and favoured position which would be a massive benefit to him.

He’d be joined in the back-line by Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi upon his return which forms quite a solid trio.

He’d be excellent at providing cover for the attack-minded Munoz who could have complete freedom.

Naouirou Ahamada

The last player who could benefit from Glasner’s arrival at Palace is the talented 21-year-old midfielder, Naouirou Ahamada.

Ahamada has that Bundesliga connection, as he was signed from Stuttgart after a 17-appearance campaign last season in which he scored twice and assisted twice.

He played for 65 minutes against Glasner’s Frankfurt side last season, winning three duels and having an 81% pass completion rate, despite a 3-1 loss.

Despite costing £10.5m, he’s barely used this campaign by Hodgson apart from in cameos which haven’t exactly come often, Naouirou will be desperate to impress Glasner and get more game time.
