Crystal Palace have just reached an agreement with Genk for Daniel Munoz – with the Colombian now flying to London for a medical.

That is according to Bob Faesen of HLN Sport.

So, what is the latest on Daniel Munoz for Crystal Palace fans to digest? Let’s take a look…

Crystal Palace strike Daniel Munoz agreement

Well, this deal should be wrapped up very quickly now.

Munoz had already agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace – according to Julián Capera of ESPN.

It came after a previous story from Faesen actually claimed that the South American had gone on strike to force through a move to Selhurst Park.

The only sticking point was agreeing a fee with Genk – although that has now been sorted, according to Faesen.

It is said that Crystal Palace and Genk have shaken hands on a fee of €10m (£9m) – with Munoz now heading to London to undergo his medical with the Eagles.

Therefore – should all go well in the Colombia international’s fitness checks – he should become a Crystal Palace player within the next 48 hours, at least.

At last, a right-back

Crystal Palace fans have been crying out for a new right-back for some time now.

It has been abundantly clear that Joel Ward, nor Nathaniel Clyne, are good enough for Premier League football nowadays, so a fresh face in that department was long overdue.

Finally, Dougie Freedman appears to have sorted the problem position out, with the signing of a highly attacking option in that area.

Munoz has impressively scored seven goals in all competitions so far this season – no Crystal Palace player has netted more – with one of those strikes being an outrageous bicycle kick.

It may take the 27-year-old a bit of time to adapt to the Premier League, but this is certainly a deal to get excited about.
